Hi friendly,
I know what you mean....I just want my old life back. I've only been having this since October, so I'm really not used to this life yet. I keep thinking it will just go away so I'm trying to think positive and make life bubbly like pink champayne ( i heard that in an old movie). How long have you had your GERD?
We are going out to dinner with family and friends on Christmas eve and I'm scared because I know there are very few things I can choose from. At least it's a buffet so I can pile on the veges and maybe some chicken. I find that anything really starchy or sugary really kicks up my reflux. I basically try to stick to the alkaline diet which "aint" very fun...I've lost some weight and my jeans won't stay up anymore without a belt.
As far as trying to keep this GERD underwraps, I've just learned to make light of it to deflect attention from it otherwise all hell breaks loose with remedies and questions. It's too bad the meds don't work as well as the pharma companies say they do or we would be able to eat anything we want while taking them, but it doesn't seem to work that way.
