Hi All

I have a endoscope coming up on Tuesday, is it bad? I had a colonoscopy and it was completely horrible. I felt like i had a 2 day hang over!

Has anyone experienced this?

You burp and then you have a burp that's almost like a hiccup and hurts a little? I have this alot after I eat. I'm wondering if it's a hernia or something.

Also, I constantly have burning in my anus and feel like I have pressure to go #2 all the time. Like I could poop all day long. I can't go for long walks or anything.

Could acid reflux (which I have more indigestion than any burning) bring on bowel problems?

Please answer as much of my questions as you can. I'm deathly afraid of the scope.

Don't worry about the scope. I was afraid as well but the test was really no big deal. They pretty much put you out . . . well, I am one of those people who is hard to sedate so I was half awake through the procedure and it still wasn't bad. I'm sure you'll do fine.

That's what happened to my during my colonoscopy, I felt pain and said ouch and they put me back to sleep. It stinks all the way around!

I'm hard to sedate and told them that, so they really wiped me out good. I don't remember a thing but they said I was awake. After walking the anesthesia off I was fine and didn't even go to sleep when I got home. After some water, the scratchiness in my throat went away. The upper endoscopy is MUCH easier than the lower.

You could have a little IBS or maybe some anxiety issues that contribute to your digestive issues along with your GERD. Anyway, they'll know a lot more after the scope so it's pretty possible they'll have a better idea how to treat you. Good luck.
