I'm just wondering if anyone else experiences the same symptoms as me.

When I have a cold or an infection, no matter how mild I am ALWAYS sick.  I think that this is possibly due to GERD.  Not wanting to make anyone feel ill, but normally the food is undigested even if it is hours after I've eaten.

Has anyone else experienced this and do you know why it happens?

Hello there Katie...I am sorry you are feeling so lousy. I cannot say that I have had this issue before, I do hope someone else has and can give you some advice here. If your food is undigested, you might be having a problem with your digestion, and that needs to be looked into. I'd call your GI and explain the problem to him, and they may wanna look further into that. Maybe you are slow to digest. Again, I hope someone comes along with a better answer! Keep us posted!

I was diagnosed with possible GERD 18 months ago and have been taking Omeprazole but it has been getting worse in the last few months and I am currently being tested for Helicobacter Pylori and if the test is Negative then it will be an Endoscopy test.

I have only had this vomiting issue around 18 months too so I am assuming that it is related to the possible GERD. It seems that whatever bug I have that is giving me the cold is also going to my stomach, not a lot of fun.

I am glad to hear you are getting tests done, and looking into this! That is good to know. Please, check in with us, and let us know how all your procedures go. We are here to support you!!! As for rightnow, I am sorry you are suffering!

Hey, I just finished reading your post, and finally someone else who vomited as much as I did. I would trow up at least 3 times a week, usually in the morning, but sometimes it would occur in the middle of the afternoon. I had the Fundoplication done 7 days ago, so we will see how it helps. I also had a hiatus hernia as well as a non-functioning LES muscle. I hope this fixed the problem,,,My doc basicly said that the air can irritate your stomach, thats one of the reasons why there is a one way valve.

Thanks for your post...  I was too was beginning to think I was the only one!

I'm ok most of the time but when I get a cold I always always vomit.  It's such a hassle as something as simple as a cold can mean I end up having to take time off work as I can be sick for anything up to two days just from a common cold. 

I have just had my test results back from my Helibactor Pilori test and it's negative so I'll be having an Endoscopy to continue the investigation..
