Hi there Meryl. You can have GERD without having the heartburn, or burning feeling. That is a possiblity. The usual symptoms of GERD are generally heartburn, regurgitation, and nausea. That doesn't mean you have to have all of the above though. Although, heartburn is generally the main feeling of having GERD. That is generally what gets people to get checked out, and find the GERD in the first place. All people get different symptoms, and react differently to treatment. Can I ask, what tests did you have done to get diagnosed with GERD, and when were you diagnosed? Do you have ANY issues of discomfort going on in your chest or stomach, other than the nausea, and your issues with IBS?
