I was diagnosed with acid reflux about 10 years ago. I've been on various medications since then. I rarely get heartburn anymore, but constantly burp. Occasionally these burping attacks will be severe, its get hard to breathe and hard to swallow. For these 10 years, I'll have a pain in different parts of my body and I will then burp. Arms, legs, hands, feet, back, chest. I never have the feeling without burping. I'll also get an itchy chest a couple of times a week, always with burping. Is this anxiety? Do people with reflux get pain in different parts of their body.
If I get hurt somehow, bumping my knee or arm into something or whatever. That pain does not cause any burping. I have had a colonoscopy, endoscopy, upper GI with small bowel, abdominal ct scan and acid reflux was the only thing found.
