Hi all.
I post on Crohns usually but in addition to that ball of fun I have acid reflux. I have been on PPI's since age 13. I did prilosec 1/day then 2/day then prevacid then nexium 2/day and now nexium 1/day. Nexium is not working anymore and I am getting pains under my left breast. My doctor is going to have me try protonix in the morning with zantac 150 at night. If that doesn't work he wants to talk surgery as I will have exhausted all my options. My diet in his book is perfect and I have done all the non-medicinal things I can to help. He was talking about a procedure that twists the stomach so it can't reflux. I am curious from those of you who have tried surgery, was it succesful? Are there any that wish they had not had surgery? Is it true you can not vomit ever after? What if you have the flu or food poisoning? Is it safe for someone with crohns?
Thanks!
