My Mom's Stomach Inflammation Doesn't Heal-Need Advice

Hi everyone..I wrote a while ago about my mom's situation and how she went to get an endoscopy done a few weeks ago and the doctor said that she had some inflammation in her stomach(no scarring on her esophagus) and to wait a week to get the results back, well then he said that there is a chance that she might have barrett's esophagus but it would not be the displacia one well on Friday she went back for another endoscopy because he wanted to take more biopsies of the area to confirm if it is barrett's or not and he said that the inflammation is the same, no change, even with all the medication that she is taking still didn't change, didn't get worse but didn't get better either..she is taking prilosec now but before she was taking protonix but it was giving her a bitter taste in her mouth..so she is concerned about cancer, because it is not healing even with all the medicine that she is taking..her doctor of course said that she is neurotic and that she is driving him crazy with all this cancer talk..and he told her that if she doesn't hear from him by Thursday(tomorrow) that it is a good sign that she has to go after him for results instead of him calling her..so he is kinda a jerk of a doctor but she doesn't know what the problem is. Yesterday she ate this all natural bread(she didn't realize that it has some vinegar in it) and she had extreme pain but now she feels better, this morning she had some diarrhea and she is always talking about how when she bends she has acid and even now a bitter taste..which is what she doesn't get, how come with all this medicine it's not fixing the problem..he told her that she doesn't have an ulcer, no sores, in fact when she told him "how are my sores" he looked at her and said "What are you talking about, you don't have any sores, you have inflammation" so what gives, why doesn't it want to heal..so of course she does the internet research, sees pancreatic cancer symptoms and gets ideas, because of the pain that goes from the stomach to the back, yeah she has that too..she has been suffering from heartburn issues for years(about 13 + years) but never had anything like this..if anyone has any suggestions please let me know..Thanks so much

Hi there..yes she heard back from him yesterday..she actually didn't talk to him, but his nurse(always a good sign) no sign of cancer(stomach or esophagus) and no sign of barrett's either..which is great he just wants her to get another endoscopy in 6 months to rule it out..since her first biopsy was positive and the 2nd one negative they always suggest doing one in 6 months so that is what she will do..she is just frustrated that her inflammations in her stomach are NOT healing..she takes prilosec which doesn't seem to be working, sometimes she feels better then other times but she is still not able to eat what she would like because everything hurts..she is thinking about going back on protonix tonight(she asked the nurse to ask the doctor if that would be Ok but she never called back today) so she is just gonna do it..the reason why she got off of it the last time was because of the bitter taste it left in her mouth but perhaps that medicine might work better..she didn't expect nothing to be found so she is really grateful..thanks so much for all your concern..do you know any other ways to make inflammation in the stomach heal because she has never had it this bad where it does not heal at all, perhaps it is because they cut so much when they did the biopsies not sure

Hi everyone..just wanted to give u all an update on my Mom..some days she feels fine, and other times, like yesterday, she was feeling horrible. during the day she was feeling fine, even singing cause she had no pain in her stomach(She is right now taking protonix) no stomach cancer was found on her biopsies and neither was esophagus cancer and no barrett's either..yesterday we had my sister's doggy over(he was not feeling good and did not want to drink) so she was bending down a lot to give him chicken in his plate along with water so that he would drink, she must have bent down 20 times during the day(even though I told her I would do it) then afterwards, maybe like an hour later(she did not feel any acid coming up during the time) it started  hurting really bad again, as if all this time was a waste..so of course she is now really upset with herself for doing that and wonders if she is back to square one. The doctor told her last week that if her symptoms did not go away he would do other tests(but we are not sure what kinds of tests..I mean what else could be tested) he is the kind of doctor that hardly if ever returns phone calls..she left him a message today, hopefully he will call back..so of course she starts to look at the symptoms of pancreatic cancer(even though she has NEVER smoked, doesn't drink, and doesn't eat fatty foods and no family history) talks about pain that goes from the abdomen to the back which she sometimes has..so now she has a new obsession talking about pancreatic cancer..it's crazy..she just wants the pain to end already cause she can't eat normal food, she has a great appetite but she eats during the day pita, potatoes, plain yogurt, before yesterday she had chicken which was fine..it was just after she bent down that it came back again..anyone have any advice..Thanks
