Hi Everyone:  I love this forum.  All the information in here is so helpful.  I was diagnosed with Gerd about a year ago.  I was wondering if anyone has been experiencing a tender stomach.  I am a stomach sleeper and noticed the last couple of months when I sleep on my stomach it is sore.  My stomach touching the bed actually hurts sometimes.  Do anyone else ever experience this?

Hello! I have been dealing with this as well. Recently, I had a bad pain about two inches above my navel- it felt like my stomach. I couldn't identify the pain, it wasn't familiar, and of course that always makes me paninc a little. It got worse and then began to ease. I don't know what it was, but it reminded me of when I had appendicitis- that pain was also unfamiliar- a new ouch I don't need. So I am paying attention to it, trying to figure it out, but I suspect it is acid- reflux- heartburn related. Have you talked with your MD about this? It sounds like it has the ability to mess with your quality of life.

Hi, Yes I mentioned it to him and he thought I had an ulcer.  He did several blood tests and they came back negative.  He gave me a referral to the Gastro doc and I have not scheduled the appt yet.  I'm trying to watch my diet to see if it gets better so I don't have to got through a bunch of testing.
