Palmer Sorry to hear you have so much trouble with your surgey, but it really isnt all that on common to have the same results, when they are getting you ready for the surgery they dont go through all the things that could happen later on, I had the surgery done in 2004, same thing as you after words I had the irritable bowel syndrom still have it,and and I was heartburn free for the past few years untill now, and te new Doctor I am seeing told me that IBS is normal, I had no choice but to have it done the first time because my esouphogus was ready to rupture due to the acid it had caused it to have alcers and it was a mess, but I still cant eat a ot of foods that I use to eat, and I can not drink nothing that is carbonated, any how I need the surgery agin they sat but this time I am doing more research due to I dont want keep repeating this.
My daughter had the nissan when she was 8 years old she still has IBS,and she had alot of complications from hers to they removed her bladder at age 10 said it would help the IBs it didnt because the nissan is what causes the IBS,anyhow 9 years later she is doing great with her nissan she can eat, drink anything she wants and no gerd at all,so I think the younger you are the better out come there is. I suggest to ask alot of questions before you do it again.
