Has anyone had a manometry test for esophageal spasm, and if so what can one expect during the test?  Also, after a positive diagnosis, what is the medical course of action taken for the patient?

I didn't have one for spasms, but I did have to have one prior to my Nissen Fundo. I would say the worst part, for me anyway, was having the tube inserted through my nose. After 3 attempts they finally succeeded. The rest is fairly easy. They move the tube a little at a time and you take sips of water every time they move it.
I couldn't begin to say what kind of treatment they have for esophageal spasms though, sorry about that.

This test was awful, the worst Ive ever had.  i was crying the whole time because it hurt and was so uncomfortable, and I never cry.

Well I guess experiencing this is for everybody different, but I did not find this test to be painfull or even uncomfortably at all.

None the less esophageal spasm is something I do not know so it might be another experience for you.

All I can say try to relax it really helps and best off luck!
