Hi, I'm looking for advice from people who may understand what is wrong with me. I'm 28 years old. I've suffrered from IBS for years so I don't know if this could be connected to that, but my GP is now treating me for excess stomach acid. I have been taking Omezaprole for ten days but have not noticed a difference.

For the past few months I have been feeling nauseous every day. Some days it can be very bad. I have been vomiting around once a week or fortnight and my work are now concerned about my health because of this. Often I am unable to eat and sometimes drink for hours after I wake up. On some days it can be around 2pm before I can eat (and I get up at 6!) I do not get heartburn and don't think I get acid reflux, though some days I can feel as if there is a lump in the bottom of my throat.

Could anyone advise if they think my GP is on the right track here...? Thank you :)

Im sorry you're going through all of this. Have you seen a GI doc yet to confirm your IBS/GERD diagnosis? Can you ask your GP for a referral?

The best thing for IBS is acidophilis. Try taking some medical strength acidophilis such as Inner Health Plus.

Hello and welcome to HealingWell.  IMHO with the sx you are having I would return to my physician and ask for further work up as you may have some other issues going on.

Your sx could easily be related to a differnt disorder completely.  I do not like to hear you are vomiting and have loss of appetitie.  I am not a professional but my best advice is see that physician.  Something is going on and why wait any longer to get a accurate dx.
