13 years post nissen

I had a nissen 13 years ago at the age of 36 and it was very successful. I have had a few bouts with heartburn over the years if I don't exercise, eat to many fatty foods, or get angry. A few days of Protonix took care of it. In the past month I have started having an extreme feeling of fullness in my stomach after I eat, sometimes I feel sloshy inside. Today it has gotten to the point that I feel like my cup(feeling of fullness) is going to run over and I wish that I could vomit(can't of course due to the nissen). I find myself belching which I haven't really done much of since the nissen and maybe a little more gassy than usual too. Has anyone else experienced this type of feeling? I really do not want to go to the doctor(I know that I should). Do you think that my nissen is coming "loose"?

Hi Speechie and Welcome - I have had my second Nissen 1-19-09 after my first failed that was only intact 3-4 months. I did have the feeling of fullness and my tummy was very gurgly. However, I barely had enough time for my recovery from my first before my redo.

My option is that you should go in and be checked or at least speak to your doctor about the problems your having. There could be a chance that it is slipped and that should not be something to put off dealing with.
