I gave it my best, my all and I tried to support as many as I could but when someone asked for members to support me at the death of my brother and the dying of my sister at the same time only 2 members took the time to post..................

75 people read the post but 2 responded.  I am hurt by the lack of support.

I will no longer be mod here.

I viewed but also posted in a previous thread as well. Nonetheless, very sorry for your loss Kitt. My thoughts and prayers are with you on both accounts.

Maybe you just need some time to grieve and get things straight (been there done that). I hope you'll reconsider... people need your help, insight, and inspiration. You are the foundation of the forum! God bless.

I just read both your posts. My heart breaks for you and your family. I remember you taking a break a few months ago when your sister had surgery, and how rough it was for you. You were missed then, and you will definitely be missed if you choose to resign. I understand your hurt and I wish I could make it go away. But let me just say this. I am very new to this forum, but whenever I posted or read something, there you were. Always with a word of comfort and encouragement. You deserve it right back. So, I offer up my comfort by saying that I will pray for you, your sister and family. God is the great Healer. I also offee you words of encouragement by saying that all things are in His hands. His peace will surround you. His arms will hug you, and His love will care for you, no matter what may happen. I am thankful for you. As are many others.

Kitt...I am so sorry for your loss and for your sisters pain and your families anguish.

I lost my dear Momma a year ago and am now planning with my only daughter her wedding.

I know loss and I know joy. I have been very busy with plans and with work and so much in  my life. I think it is fair to say we all get busy sometimes. I would like you to know that prayer can be quiet too. Some friends just don't know the right thing to say, but they still pray.

Please don't be bitter now in your time of sorrow. Your family needs you to be there for them I am sure. Let us know how you are doing but surely a break from HW will be good for you. Take care of yourself. We do love you...our sister in Christ ......love, Anne

Thank you to all who have offered love and support and for the prayers.  My sister is slowly dying and I know that I have a lot of losses in my history, this one is no easier.

I do thank you for being here, as I am not overlooking the wonderful members that are there daily to help others with this nasty disorder.  I admire the support that goes on in the forum re GERD.  I am not ungrateful for the good I have received as a member of this forum.

You are a special breed as I have this disorder they call GERD and I know how nasty and ill it can make you.  I do support each of you in your journey through your surgeries and through your trials and tribulations. 

As I already moderate 2 other forums I have sent Peter a message that I am unable to continue covering GERD.  I hold you all dear in my heart and yes grief is tough, and I know this well as I lost my son to a car crash when he was 21 years old so I am no stranger to grief.

I am not taking a break from HW as it is my life line to sanity...... smhair however, I am cutting back on the time I spend on the forums.

I wish you all peace and happiness.  Blessings to each of you.

Thank you , Kitt, for all you have done to make the GERD forum the warm and inviting place it is. As a recent member, I might not have continued to look here for support if it weren't for your quick welcome and comforting advice. You should give yourself the opportunity to take time for yourself. You are going through so much. I know just how time-consuming it must be to moderate these forums. It's time consuming to just participate! And to think that you moderate more than one forum! Bless you and your family. I wish you all the best.

Thank you for your support and for posting.  As I have GERD, Depression/Anxiety, Skin Cancer and several other dx I feel that I am making the best decision for myself at this time.

I also have a husband with Crohn's Disease who had a Radical Prostatectomy last August.  So I have to be available to support him as well. :-)

I love helping others and making people feel comfortable and that is why I moderate.  I am a nurse so I am a caregiver at heart.

I have been very touched by your sharing of your journey through your surgery as I believe that you have helped many.

Take care and know my email is open if you ever need a friend.

Your love shines through, Kitt. Now just take the time you need to be good to yourself, and be there for your family. That comes first. I'll be thinking of you.

Thank you so much and anytime you choose, please do visit the A & P Forum or the Depression Forum.  I will still be posting here as I do have this nasty thing they call GERD but I am blessed as I have managed my problems with PPIs well.

I am sorry for your loss and am praying for you, your sister, and your family. I hope and pray a miracle comes your way. You and your family have been through so much, but you have still been there for everyone here. I apologize for not posting sooner. I'm no kind of regular here or anything, but my condolences for your losses. I cannot even approach guessing how you are feeling.

Know that the Chronic Pain forum is a WONDERFUL group who intensely support each other, whether for Chronic Pain or anything else.

I doubt there would be any ruckus if you wanted to join us for your time of need - or longer. Or if you just wanted to talk and there was someone on our forum. A great group, I tell you.

Thank you all for your comforting  words.  I appreciate each of your kind posts.  LITTLE PEANUT, Bill and Tony, your words mean the world to me right now. 

My sister is not doing well and is going home to North Dakota on Friday, I do not know if she will ever make the trip back to MN for her next round of chemo.  She has been told the chemo is not a cure now but only palliative treatment to help give her some more time with her family.  I am her only other sibling as with  the death of our brother and our oldest sister that just leave Bev and I.  I am OK and I know I have to pray for her peace.

Kitt I am so new here, and haven't been in a while, I did not see your post. I am so sorry for the pain your are having to go thru, and sometimes it is best to step away from too many responsibilities and take a break.

Obviously the folks here think the world of you and hopefully you will come back when the times are a bit better for you.

Dear Friends,

I guess I am still with you as how could I leave after such touching posts and I am doing OK. idea

My sister left to go home to North Dakota today to spend the rest of her time here on this earth with her family, her children and grandchildren. She is now 500 miles from me and I am sad yet I told her to go.  Funny part was she wanted me to come with her.  If only life was that simple but alas, I cannot just pick up and go.

I had 10 months with her here in MN and even thow the Cancer is winning,  it did give us the opportunity to spend time together that never would have happend if she had not been here in MN.  So I am thankful for the time we had and  I will support her daily by phone.

So please know I am truly grateful to each of you.

Thank you is such a little word to use but I hope you all understand it comes with a heart full of gratitude.

Thank you for staying with us. I'm so glad for you that your sister was close and you had time together. It is such a hard life experience, and you've been through more than your share. You have lots of friends here, who really care about you. You've given so much to everyone, Kit. Now it's time for you to ask for support.

Kitt - I rarely come to this board so wasn't aware of the original post. I'm sorry that there was so little response. But this thread shows that there is actually much support and prayers for you. I am sorry for your loss, and also will pray for your sister. In my brief time here on this board, you have been very supportive of me and I want you to know how much that is appreciated. - Betsy
