Bill did you take your medicine for nausea? Make sure you keep that with you as that can really irritate things as you know. I hope you are feeling better now. I never got a nap before the movie as Gizmo insisted on licking my fingers  that are sticking out of the splint. The movie was really good (Star Trek). Of course Gizmo slept the whole time since he hadn't napped earlier. I am conting the days until my second tail bone injection. When you know something works it's hard to wait for it to happen. The doc wanted to wait until my hand healed first before another injection.

Denise the movie helped to kind of take my mind off the pain and now the itching that set in today. It's driving me crazy because I can't get to it. I took my benedryl for my allergies so maybe that will help I hope. Barb

Actually it was Hardees, but I am sure it is the same. I just can't handle much sugar now I guess. I sure didn't want to try out the new wrap this soon that's for sure. Things have been sounding and feeling really strange in there tonight, but everything seems to be intact. I think I was worried about the holes leaking again more than anything else.

Hi all -
Well I had another sleepless night. Couldn't lay down and couldn't get comfortable in the recliner. I think I am going to take the tent out and pitch camp for a couple nights before we head to Indiana. Maybe the injections this afternoon will ease up the rib pain and I can get some rest in the woods. I am going to ask the doctor today about the issues I am having after yesterdays "episode". He also does the Nissen surgery, and was the one who referred me to Loyola. I ended up taking a couple Aciphex last night and a couple antacids too. I hope this is just a temporary after effect and not permanent. Hope everyone has a great Friday!

I didn't do much better Bill. I was up by 5:20 with the itching. I know you know what that's like. Will have to call the doc about it. I hope those shots work for you today and they figure out what happened with your stomachand how to deal with it. Hope your feeling better soon. Barb

My laundry list of diseases include, Ulcetive Colitis, GERD, Asthma, Alergies, CAD stent to LAD 1/4/05, Fibromyalgia, TMJ and a deteriorating disk in lower back and cysts on ovaries. Also chronic pain from a moped accident 11/9/07 which left me with back, hand, knee and foot problems. 

Meds, Nexium,  pepcid, carafate, Advair 250/50, Pro air inhaler, Plavix, Nitroquick, Benadryl, Natural progesterone cream, fish oil, calcium, lecithin, biotin, flax oil, magnesium, CoQ 10, vitamin C, vitamin D.

Proud Mother of a US Marine Seargent (son) & a daughter who is a certified dog trainer! Also furry children Abby(rat terrier) and Gizmo(chihuahua)

I am truly sorry about the itching as I do know all about that. Drives me crazy! Benadryll does help me somewhat. I think I am going to give up an sleeping today and maybe I will be so exhausted tonight I will just pass out. I would never be that lucky, I would just sleep for an hour and be wide awake again.

I take benedryl before bed every night. I was really hoping that it would help with the itching. I called and the other doctor is going to unwrap it and see whats going on and then rewrap it. The nurse thinks it's the soap they used to clean it with. I'm going to make sure they didn't leave any adhesive behind or my skin will bubble up, itch and break open. That could be part of the problem too. I'm so tired I wish I could pass out, but the itching won't let  me. It's so bad I want to (((((((((((((scream)))))))))))))))! Today is going to be another long day. Gizmo has an appointment to get his nails clipped. They are really long and getting caught in every thing. Then from there to the hand doc. I sure hope they can fix this itchy problem. I think I will try to benedryl again. Maybe I'll just pass out then and won't have to deal with the itching for a while. my hubby is driving any way. I'll let you know how it goes. Hope you can get some sleep. I hated the night shift. 11 years of that full time. Yuck! Barb

I have the same problem with tape adhesives, they make my skin itch, blister and peal off. I sure do understand the wanting to scream part too. Sure hope they fix it for you. Hate for you to be in pain and miserable from itching too. I just saw your post about Giz licking your fingers and such. My Giz does that all the time, but cats are weird anyways. Giz grabs my arm and won't let go until he is done licking and Squeaker will attack anyone who has wet hair. He is infatuated with wet hair for some reason. He will climb on the back of the chair or couch and try to lick your hair. I have such strange animals.

I live about 3 hours south of Chicago. Just had to go there for the testing and surgery. Thanks for thinking of me though. Have you gotten rested up from vacation yet?

I haven't gotten everything reloaded in my computer yet. I gave up last night and still can't fully get the idea of reinstalling Vista out of my head for some reason. I don't understand why I even think about it since I had nothing but problems after I installed Vista 5 months ago or so. I am got my son's desktop computer fixed also today. His hard drive crashed and he lost about $100 of I tunes he didn't back up. That will teach him. He isn't too happy because it was his money not mine this time. Think I wilol try and take a nap now.

heard a blurp about the Chicago explosion but turned on CNN and everything is about the bombing in Indonesia.

Bill, Sorry to hear you have been having problems.  You have my good vibes to getting back on track quickly.

Bea, Hey there!.  How nice of you to worry about Bill in proximity to the explosion.  It seems like we are scattered all over and whenever we hear a news bulletin we immediately start to wonder if our friends are OK.  That is a good trait.

Barb, You sound like you are doing all the right things on getting your hand healed.  I will be following you closely so no funny stuff.  LOL.

Hi all -
Just got home from the doctor. I sure do love the feeling of stuff being injected between my ribs smhair . He wants me to try a lidocane gel and stick with the neurontin for now. I also go a refill of my anti nausea meds since I was out when I had my "episode" yesterday. He told me not to run a out again and that he would refill it anytime I needed.
My ribs are numb now and I hope they stay that way for a few days. Should make the trip a lot easier now. I am going to pitch a tent tonight, so I won't be around for a day or so.

Hey Bill, I just started with the adhesive allergy about a year or so ago. Not a fun thing to have to deal with and now the allergy to betadine. They put it right on my chart now that I'm allergic to betadine. I may have to take my splint off and get every last bit of that stuff off as it is still itching just not as much. I can't imagine itching all over your body Bill. Just my hand and arm drove me mad. Have fun on your trip and I hope those ribs stay numb for you. Dang I wish my hand was numb right now. A few more hours and I can take more benedryl. It helps for the first few hours. My Gizmo is a funny little dog. It's cool how he can make me laugh and forget about my problems. tongue Barb

Hey, Bill,
Glad to hear the injection is working, but take it easy pitching that tent! See if there are some little helpers around to do the hard parts so you don't agitate that injection site and ruin the good effects! I think you should get a lounge chair and sit back and just supervise!

Barb - can you call your doctor and have him change the dressing and all? That would probably relieve a lot of the itching. Can't see you going 2 weeks like that.

PAlady, I don't think he is around. That's why I had to see the other doc that was over whelmed with his own patient load today. The itching seems to have let up some since I tried cleaning it again my self. They put a nice new dressing on it today but just didn't get all that junk off that I'm now allergic too. There is no way I would put up with this kind of itching if it keeps up. Well I'm going to go lay down. Barb

The picture is awesome! Even the lady who owns the house said she had to laugh! Woman driving stepped on the gas instead of the break because she went down the wrong street and had to pull into a driveway to turn around.

Can't make this stuff up. LOL

BTW no one got hurt except the weiner - and the bun! :-)

Hi all -
I hadn't heard about the wienermobile incident. I haven't watched any tv ion 2 or 3 days. Been to busy with softball practice and packing and relaxing in the woods when I got a chance. We take off tomorrow for Indiana, 'bout time. I hate waiting for certain days to do stuff. Anyhow, I am sure I will be overwhelmed with stuff the first couple days with all the events they have planned for us, but I will bet back here sooner or later. Promise.

PaLady, So far so good on the injections. I did forget to tell him the other incision area was bugging me too. Ill have to wait 'til I get back to talk with him about that. I had lots of helpers pitching the tent, I only had to drive the stakes. I even threw the ball a bit at practice today. I haven't done that in a long while. I was working with the outfielders and even did some diving catches for them. Now that I haven't done in years, but it was fun and they got to see how to do it correctly. I am sure my legs are gonna be sore tomorrow. They haven't been abused like that for a long time.

Diving catching....wow. Entertaining, but I don't think I ever did anything like that even in my youth. I was a cheerleader, though! :-)

Well I made it through the first day and everyone made it here safe. We went grocery shopping to cut down the eating out. That sure does get expensive. We usually don't have time between games to go out anywhere, so bringing sandwiches works out best anyway.
Sure seems weird that this is the last tournament for the season. It has gone so fast with me being out and missing 4 tournaments. We do play some fall tournaments though. We will have tryouts to replace anyone who is moving on Aug. 3rd and 5th. Then we probably will get in about 4 tournaments in the fall.
I am not as sore from the running and diving as I thought I'd be. Mostly it's my knees hurting. With all the years of catching they have been severely abused over the years.
Well I am of to bed, got to get up at 6 tomorrow.

Hi everyone; it sure sounds like everyone has been through the wringer lately!, I'm sorry to hear that. I wish I could say I've been aokay, but no such luck...migraines hae come back with a vengeance..several a day and well, yucch.

Someone, somewhere was talking about the bloating, I think it was here, but, if not, please bear with me! Since the whole got sick, been symptomatic, now have IBS thing, I've also had a a real problem with bloating and I've found something that really helps....Phillips Colon health. I've decided that one thing that could be a problem was with all of the antibiotics, so I decided to add the probiotics with this stuff at dinner time and who knew, but no more bloating. It's a god-send; the pain from that was awful. So, there you have it.

Bill, I hope you do well at nationals, but please be careful.
Barb, I'm sorry things have been going so badly for you, I'm hoping things turn around soon.
Bea, Denise, Kitt, every chance you get you bring smiles to everyone's faces, make everyone's hearts smile and just make the world a better place. Thank you!!!

Hey Everyone,

Good Afternoon and I am here.  Had a rough weekend but today I just told myself to get out and do it so I took my 16 year old granddaughter out shopping just to get out of the slump I was in.  She was the benefactor of Grandma's shopping spree.  Well I sure do feel better now after spoiling her.  yeah

Bill,  I am so sorry your knees are giving you problems......but I know you guys are going to kick butt in the tournament.  You have your cheering squad all right here. 

Barb,  I hope the itching is better and that your first day at work is going well.  You know I am always right here to support you.

Denise, If we ever sell our home and move I could get rich on an estate sale as I know we have doubles and triples of some items. Hope your getting through your sorting and putting your house in order. 

Janice, I am so sorry to hear your having migraines now..........just what you did not need.  You mentioned Phillips Colon Health..........is that something you can buy in a local drug store?

You know I am right here for you sweetie so hang on and my prayers are with you.

Bea, Teala, PAlady and everyone...............I will be leaving on vacation starting on Saturday, July 25th.  I will not be online for 5 days and then I am home for 2 days and leaving again for the following weekend.
