why do ur legs swell? yeah my big prob is i burp 24/7 anways, my les is worthless he said.. ergh.. i sneak sum in there, mostly non caffeine, but i still pay for it:) lol

I'm Janice and I'm Michigan born and raised, the motto used to be water winter wonderland! We have more miles of coastline than FL; no matter where you are in the State you are never more than 80 miles from one of the Big Lakes; we have snow (sometimes too much!!) and incredibly beautiful beaches, miles and miles of open, free to the public, beaches, with clear, clean water!

My name is Kitt and I am addicted to Diet Coke.  In fact I think Coca Cola should give me a discount.  I like it ice cold and I can drink a can and go to bed and sleep like a baby. There are days when I get severe heartburn but I do not call 911 as those EMTs whom I know would be raiding my frig for a diet coke.  Rascally Rabbits is what they are. LOL.

Get bottled water and keep it ice cold. Not quite a soda but it sure taste good especially when you can't drink a soda. Actually when you stay away from soda for a while they don't quite taste the same.

Mary,
It isn't bad. Just remember to eat a little at a time. Even while you are on full liquid. This keeps the gas from forming and causing pain. When you are on liquid you can eat oatmeal, it keeps you from being so hungry. Also have a blender and you can eat potato soup etc. But once again only eat a cup at a time. You can eat every couple of hours. Should you eat too much and have the back and shoulder pain, go for a walk, it helps to get rid of it. But if you follow the cup at a time you shouldn't have any of that pain.

yeah i had a pepsi yesterday and unfortunately... it tastes great! but makes me have such bad heartburn (but so does water... ergh lol)... ah well the sacrifices we make! And worst news for my day the surgeon called they still dont have a date and it could be a while before i get in... man its gonna be a long holiday season...:/

currently my throat's still enflamed, i cough a lot, my sinuses are burned out and the prilosec makes my wrists burn, my shoulder to burn, and my back to go out on me... cant win huh:?
well im willin to risk it cause by the time ur done, im sure the surgeon would FINALLY have a date lol

Hey, I was wondering if anyone who has been on nexium ever had chronic back spasms?

Had my surgery Oct. 9 of 08. I had a cough that wouldn't quit.
It was causing blood pressure problems. My GI dr was afraid that the surgery wouldn't stop the cough. I have a week esophagus and also some allergies. I had the asthma tests etc along with all the fun 24 hr test, swallow etc. And it did show that I coughed when I refluxed. I would cough so hard I would throw up UGH! I would not sleep at night and any time I laid down I coughed.

The surgery did help. I still have a cough but I don't spit up or cough when I lay down or wake up coughing at night. Most of the time an allergy pill helps but if don't chew just right I will cough because of the swallow problem

But I will tell you that I am 100% better, blood pressure is fine.
My GP said that because I coughed so hard and didn't sleep it caused the blood pressure to spike....

I would definately do it again. It has been well worth it.

Griff, I get them all the time. I don't know if it's the mild OA in my back or the meds. I was just wandering if it might be connected.

weekend was great. Was at the lake and it acutally was cool enough (Arkansas is usually very hot this time of year) to have the windows open and no air on. Both Friday and Saturaday night in the middle of the night it got cold enough for a quilt.

Griff, have some water bud... lol
