Does the nissan surgery help eliminate esophagus spasms?

Hello, I was trying to find out does anyone know if the surgery eliminates spasms? Or is there a medication I should be asking for to stop the spasms?? I just want to have all the right questions when I go see the doctor!! Look forward to any responses!

Welcome Ronee'. I think it's a great question to ask your Dr. I didn't have spasms before the surgery and technically didn't have them afterwards; I developed them last winter after getting sick and they've lasted for many months, I think they may now may be stating to subside. Mine is a rather unusual case, so don't think it's what happens to all, but I would certainly ask your Dr.
