I was taking Nexium but my calves, ankles, and feet were swelling up. Stopped that drug and got Aciphex. Couldn't sleep, getting panic attacks. Just started Kapidex Friday. about a week ago, I noticed my throat felt swollen. Well it's gotten worse! It's not sore but feels super swollen. My tongue hits my tonsils when I talk, breathe, anything which makes me gag. I called my gastro and he said to see my regular dr so I'm calling tomorrow to make an appt. Has anyone had the swelling related with GERD? Also where my legs swelled up, they are kinda numb. Not completely numb but it feels like they are asleep. I'm wondering if these are side effects of the different meds or what's going on. This feels like an endless road and I'm getting sick of it. I've been sleeping on the couch for the past 2 weeks because I'm so awake that eventually I fall asleep watching tv. If I lay in bed, all I think about is how awful I feel and that doesn't help. I'm at a loss!

Good Morning and I am sorry to hear you are having such bad effects from you medications. If you feel like your throat is swelling please do call you Doctor immediately. If this is being caused by the medication you may be allergic to the medication. I would advice you to seek out a medical opinion ASAP.
