Hey all, just wanted to let you know that I had my scope done today. The doctor didn't find anything new and that my condition was basicallyt he GERD is  under control!  YAY!! Not because now they don't know why I am having all these pains! So now the doc has referred me to get my gallbladder scanned hituas scan (not sure if that is how it is spelled) to see how well my gallbladder is actually functioning! I pray that this is all that is causing all my pain, as my doc didn't say that GERD wasnt assisting with the pain but things there is something else as well!  So now I have to wait for my referral to another doctor as our facility doesn't have the means to do it cry ..So now to the next stage of what is going on I will keep all of yall posted thanks for listening!! :)

I think you are having a hida scan. They inject some type of dye and another drug that makes your gall bladder contract and see how well it functions. Mine was at 24% when I had my scan and by the time I had surgery 2 weeks later it had stopped working all together. It's not a bad test, but sometimes they said it can cause pain like gall bladder attack. For me it didn't matter because I already had that pain before the test started and it didn't stop after either.
I really think I would rather have the gall bladder pain again than this kidney stone pain I have rigt now!

Bill~ Yes that is what they are wanting to do I honestly would be happy if that is what is causing me to have pain so I am just waiting for the referral place to call me and let me know!!

I do hope you can get set up for you Scan soon.  If it is your Gallbladder the cure is surgery and most of the surgeries are done by laporoscopy now days. 

I was glad to read you have no significant issues going on with your GERD.

Please keep us up to date on how you are doing.

The waiting for referrals and such sure are irritating aren't they? Hope they get you scheduled soon. The gall bladder really can cause some very worrisome problems. I am not sure why, but there is some sort of connection between gall bladder issues and GERD. I wonder if they have done any official studies on that or not.
If I remember correctly I think my surgeon said anything under 40% is considered bad or going bad.

Hope they find the reason soon so they can get you fixed up I remember gall bladder pain and it hurts. Keep us posted
