Exceesive stomach acid?

I am sure this question has been asked, and I probably should just do a search of the forum.....but are there theory's as to why the excessive stomach acid starts flowing?

For me anyway, it just started, it wakes me from sleep.....maybe I have had it all along, and it just started getting worse? I don't know....

A weak LES is usually the culprit. I saw somewhere in another post that you sleep on a wedge. This is not good. It causes you to bend at the waist, putting pressure on your stomach, causing flow. Put bed risers on the head of your bed instead. They work better.
