Saw my old GI doctor

I mentioned that I was going to be evaluated for the EsophyX in November. And he said he had never heard of it! I also mentioned the Linx to him and he gave me a blank look. I had to explain both procedures to him.

He started trying to change my mind about them saying I needed to do more research and not just jump on the bandwagon. I told him I had researched them fully and that the surgeon I'm going to see had done 130 of them successfully.

He then said that I needed to talk with his boss about it all and he would call me the next evening.

I had several things happened that kept me from coming home in time for his call and missed talking to him.   I'm now waiting for him to call back

I wonder what he wants to say.

First of all I am sorry you did not get to see the GI Physician but the PA.

Is there anyway you can see the physician instead of going through the PA as IMHO it is sometimes best to see the physician re this problem?

I have seen NP for ear infections or sore throats but I will only see my MD for anything I feel needs the attention of a Medical Doctor.

I am sorry you missed the call but would like to encourage you to call the clinic and ask to leave a message for the Physician. Let him know you are available and would like to hear from him.
