I am hesitant to put blocks under our bed since we have a king-sized bed with a heavy wooden frame and headboard (not sure how stable blocks would be!) so I was considering starting out with a wedge pillow.
However, I have never been comfortable sleeping on my back, I always sleep on my side. Can you use a wedge pillow if you sleep on your side, or would your body bend at the waist too much? I strongly suspect I have a hiatal hernia (I have an EGD scheduled next week to find out) so I wonder if this would be a bad idea...
I also saw a wedge pillow online just for side sleepers (can I post links to other sites here? If not, the first Google result for "wedge pillow side sleeper" is one example). I've also heard that you can put some wedge pillows under the mattress instead of on top of the mattress so I'm not sure which would work better. What do the rest of you side sleepers do?
I never realized how expensive these pillows are so I thought I'd try to get some opinions first :) Thanks!
(Hmm.... one of our kitties likes to sleep between our pillows at night, I wonder how he will like a wedge pillow? :) )
