Thanks for all your responses...I have another question re: Prevacid

I still haven't tried the Kapidex. I have a fear of medications...its unusual I think..I have anxiety immediately after putting it in my mouth. Anyway was miserable this morning with refluxed acid in my mouth and throat and told my boyfriend to go get me some otc prevacid. I took it and a couple minutes later I felt a rush and then a sensation of difficulty swallowing and then just a dif. taste in my mouth..maybe b/c all the acid cleared up...I don't know. Anyway all day though I had to clear my throat and it felt kinda itchy...I took a zyrtec tonight and that seemed to clear it up. Anyway does this mean I could be allergic to it? It did help..I took at 130 pm but it is 1 am now and there is acid in my throat again. I want to cry. What should I do? I'm scared to take prevacid again. Is kapidex same ingredients? Should I just call doc in morning? I hate taking PPIs...prilosec made my heart pound so hard even in my sleep......
