2 years ago I was diagnoised with gerd and barretts I did some research on aloe vera gel and it's healing powers, since then I been taking prevacid and drinking aloe vera gel daily,on Jan.25th 2010 I had a endoscopy done, too my surprise my esophogus looked good and my barretts is gone, just something for everyone too think about
,the aloe vera gel is called lily of the desert and you can get it at GNC.I don't know if the aloe had anything too do with the healing but I for one will continue to use it.

Thank you for posting, PH Fan. I can well believe that aloe would heal the esophagus - I have used a piece of my aloe plant many times on kitchen burns that healed by the next day. As we know, the problem is taking it internally because of the risk of diarhhea.
How much did you drink per day?

I drink anywhere from 5 to 8 ounces a day,I mostly drink it straight,I had a little diarreha after I started drinking it but not anymore,i also have easier bowel movements now.

That's good to know. Aloe vera is a miracle plant. What I also found that has helped tremendously is eating brown rice. it stops the reflux in its tracks. Try it out and let me know what you all think.
