Gerdedout
I have seen the Mayo Clinic's website about GERD. I do think it is out of date, which is surprising since they are recognized as one of the best medical facility in the world. As far as the Endocinch, Plicator and Stretta procedure, I believe that all 3 of them are discontinued. What I have read and heard from others, all enodscopic surgical procedures for GERD don't work. The newest procedure is EsophyX. I have read posts from others where this procedure has been successful, and many others where it has failed. I stumbled accross a company from Isreal called Medigus which manufacturs an endoscope that is used to repair the LES.
As far as Mayo clinic and the procedures they use, I guess the best way to find out is to get an appointment and find out yourself.
Good luck! I do hope you find something that works for you.
