Anyone Had This Surgery instead of NF?

Hi,

As an alternative to a NF, has anyone had an open surgical procedure bypassing the LES and having the esophagus empty into the lower gut. This bypassing GERD and LES problems? If so, will you please share with us (me) what is the surgery called and what is your experience?

Bypass is no alternative unless there are problems that can't be solved with NF. It's also called bariatric surgery or Roux-en-Y.

We may not burp well with NF, but at least we can eat!
