I'm sorry you are struggling so much. I sure hope your tests and doc can offer solutions. Alcie is right...don't mess with heart pain/chest pain, and women have quite different heart attack symptom from each other and from men and visa versa. My GI doc ordered several heart exams such as an ECHO, Thalium Stress Test, etc. to be sure my heart was alright and to confirm chest pain, etc stemming from my esophagus. Yes, this could (needs confirming not assumption) be esophageal/hernia in origin, as well.
The cough and wheezing also can be from GERD, but it is wise to have it checked by a pulmonary specialist. When I did, he immediately wanted it treated with two inhalers and nasal spray to reduce the mucus. It helped a lot. Actually, it was the pulmonary specialist who explained to me how and why it was esophageal. In addition to the cough and wheezing, I haven't had much voice (sometimes none) form more than 6 months steady. Prior to that I would loose my voice several times a year and be hoarse most weeks. Now it is constant.
