Hi all
After a trip to the hospital with a blocked common duct from a gallstone and very painful pancreatitis I have just had my gallbladder removed as it was packed with stones and sand. Before all this happened I had GERD symptons and tried all the usual tricks to relieve it to no avail. When the blocked duct and pancreatitis occured the doctors said it would have been my gallbladder all along causing my GERD symptons. My question is do some of those weird symptons persist for a wee while after your surgery (it is less than a week?) I am still experincing slight nausea and burping after eating. I was told to persist with a low fat diet for another 6 weeks to give my body time to adjust to producing bile in a different way and I admit I have slipped up since being home by succumimg to some chocolates. I felt OK after eating the chocolates and then the next day got that stone in my chest feeling and lots of burping again after eating lunch. Yesterday and today I have strictly adhered to the low fat diet and I still feel a bit nauseous. Has this happened to anyone else? Did it resolve itself?
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
