Motilium

Hi GERD 11,
I'd never heard of it, but went looking online and found this useful description. You probably have already checked it out, but just in case:

It's apparently FDA approved, as it's available to the general public. It may be new to use it with TIF patients--maybe that's what your surgeon was talking about.

It looks like he/she is trying to get things moving in your stomach/intestine to clear it out quicker, thus leaving less to be forced into the esophagus if you're refluxing.

Hi GERD 11,
When I looked more online, I did find that it's approved in Canada, but not here yet. The interesting thing was that it is being used to increase milk production in lactating moms. It can't be all that dangerous if they're putting it to that kind of use.

I have been on Motilium for a few months too...it did not help.
Why is it not approved? No problem in Italy about this medecine.
