Had nissen wrap in place for over 12 years!

Hi, I'm new to the site.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a wrap in place for this long. My GI doc says its pretty rare. 

Having esophageal spasms and dry heaves over the past 2 years.  Pain with them is getting worse.  Especially at night.  Never know when they are going to hit.  Taking Hyomax Sl which does help a little.

Hi Linda -

It sounds like it's time to check out the wrap and see if it's come apart or herniated through the diaphragm. That's what's happened to mine after a bout of vomiting after only a few months. If the symptoms warrant, they can re-do the wrap.

I hope you have seen a good GI doc!
