I get transient ischaemic cold sensation and pain in my right foot and to a lesser extent left foot from time to time. I hadn't thought about
it being digestive but hadn't deduced a pattern because I wasn;t that bothered about
it knowing I have good cardiovascular health and my blood glucose is normal (i.e. I'm not diabetic or prediabetic). I usually walk it off. I had a big meal tonight, one that will probably end in reflux, my feet went cold and now, looking back over the past few months I see the pattern. A it has been cold. B it occurs in the early afternoon and evening and C It never occurs in the morning (Edit: I don't eat breakfast and it is bitterly cold in the morning). Duh! How did I miss that pattern.
I googled "cold foot after eating" which took me here.
The digestive tract places a demand on the cardiovascular system to digest food. If you have large or difficult to digest meals then it may well leave you with cold hands and feet (and gastro-oesophageal reflux). That it's the right foot is a function of distance.
Hope your surgery went well.
