Good day to all,
I had the TIF procedure 5 weeks ago last Friday (procedure on March 11th). I had chronic gerd mostly at night...my dentist actually was the doctor who diagnosed me based on the damage to my back molars. I never had traditional heart burn. As the disease progressed, I started getting sore throats on most mornings and I was not responding to the cocktail of drugs that are currently on the market. It was rare that I had any daytime symptoms at all, only occasionally with certain foods. After the procedure, I am refluxing two to three times during the day...to a very bland liquid diet and very little refluxing at night. I am very strict with what I have been eating...staying with the more liquid meals than the soft foods. I am five plus weeks out now, and I am concerned that I have made things go from bad to worse with my TIF procedure. To anybody out there who has had experience with this procedure...is my experience normal? My doc is smart and a great guy, but very vague about what to expect here. Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
