Overseas Linx Surgery and US insurance

Here is a question around the legalities ..

If a patient is not a US citizen, gets the Linx surgery done in the UK and is living in the US ... now, if anything / something goes wrong with the Linx device while in the US and the patient is in pain .. will the medical facilities in the US be able to do such things as:
- be able to remove the device and such?
- will the insurance here cover this / such a procedure (likely not).

In answer to your query re Emergency Care in the States should you have Linx procedure in the UK - that a good question, according to Dr Ashton there is a 24/7 helpline available to all Linx patients.

I'm a UK reisdent and would have to obviously have the Linx procedure privately so have spoken to my NHS surgeon re Emergency Care and as he so rightly admitted as its not available on the NHS then there would be a question of how to deal with any emergency situation - which is in fact one on the questions I will be asking Dr Ashton at my consultation later today- will keep you informed.
