My stomach has been acting very weird lately. it feels like sharp pains like some one is poking me with a knife or something. I dont know what this could be but it worries me. its also sensitive to touch sometimes. it comes and goes everyday this pass week.

thanks joy. oh great, thats just what i need right now on top of everything else. i hope it doesnt last long. do you know anything about gastritis?

Hi hurtandscared,

I've had gastritis often, and it can take a while to heal. My GI doc actually diagnosed my condition as having a reactive stomach, rather than chronic gastritis. It reacts quite often to many things, and when it does...OUCH!

I get gastritis pains too. I cannot tolerate ppis but keep having to take them because nothing else stops the pain. Can you increase your antacid medication or take something like gaviscon too? Mine usually settles after about 3 days of medication. Licorice chewable tabs help me too. I'm also amazed how much pain I can get just from gas sometimes, which peppermint sweets help with!

now i have pain on my right side of my abdomen, its been a constant pain for the last couple hours. it sucks so bad:(

Do you have a gallbladder? It might be inflammed....
