Hello One and All...I'm back! We had a wonderful trip, and the weather was beautiful every day. We only had rain twice...at night, and in the morning as we were packing to come home. By the time we'd packed, the sky was clearing and we had a nice boat ride to the mainland. We had a busy, but relaxing time, enjoying the beach (with me sitting under the umbrella covered up from the sun) and some great evenings in town and at the cottage playing games with our son and his girlfriend, who came on vacation with us. We had a great vacation, and yet it feels wonderful to be home! Home Sweet Home...
Kitt,I'm sorry I wasn't here to support you while you were going through the loss of your MIL. I'm sure it has been very hard for you and your husband, and harder still for your FIL. How is he doing? Please know my thoughts are with you.
I know how it is to want your loved one with you. It's hard to accept. I remember when my mother died. It was so frustrating to know that I couldn't fix it. Even though my mom is not with me physically any more, she is with me every day in spirit. There isn't a day that goes by when I don't think about
her and follow advice she has given me or get a chuckle over something she said. She will always be a part of me, and is still remembered lovingly by my kids. I do understand your sorrow. I know you were close to your MIL, and I know she will always be close to your heart.

Bill,I'm glad you've got your redo scheduled. Is the doc who's doing it the same one who did your other redo? I wish you the very best outcome. You deserve it. Sorry you're suffering so, but like Sandi said, the time will fly by and you'll be getting relief soon. Hey, it'll make the surgical recovery much easier as you remember your suffering you're going through. Best wishes. I hope you'll stop in often to visit us! Good job writing a message on your phone!
Hi Rita,Welcome to the
Wrapped Club!
I know I'm a little late with my cheer, but better late than never! Glad to hear you are doing well in your recovery. If you can be patient and surrender to it, you'll find it much easier...just let your recovery take the lead, and follow it where it takes you. Struggling against "what is" makes things much more difficult. It's a gradual process, but you will improve over time.
Remember that the swelling of the wrap increases during the first two weeks, peaking at 14 days. Don't be surprised if your swallowing gets worse before it gets better. After the two weeks, it will gradually reduce its swelling and settle into place better. Best wishes!
Barb...Welcome back! We've missed you! Glad to hear you're doing well and have been spending time with your sweet Bella. I haven't had a chance to read up on the thread because we just got back from vacation, but will do that ASAP. Have a great week, and stick around!
Hi Joy,I know how exhausting the first weeks of school are even when you're healthy and at your best. Not feeling well and struggling with physical issues can put you over the edge. Good for you to take a sick day when you need on. You don't have to be a hero. You won't be there for the kids if you don't take care of yourself.
I hope you have a good class this year. I'm here for you, my friend. Hang in there. Get lots of rest whenever you can. If someone wants you to do something and you know you aren't up to it, learn the N-Word...NO! I know it's not in a teacher's nature, but you can do it!
Hope you swelling goes down and you feel more comfortable.
Best wishes to everyone!I've got to get some rest...take care and I'll be back to chat tomorrow!
(((HUGS)))
Denise
