Throat inflammation??

Is there anything besides the acid reflux drugs to help throat inflammation. Dr's saying my main problem with swallowing is because my throat and vocal cords are inflammed..  Anyones Dr given them and thing else to help for this besides nexium, prilocec ect.   ??????

Or is this just a time game..

I have the same problem and would welcome the answer too! I have been symtom free for a little while eat Cheese sandwiches and a few chocolate biscuits two days ago still hating myself for doing so throat lump back........

Hi

Just a short note to say that I have had trouble with my throat.   I have started to take some juiced ginger first thing in the morning.  You can juice enough at a time for a couple of days and keep it in the fridge. Take a teaspoonful each morning for  about three weeks.  I started to get relief after a couple of days.  Worth a try.

Did you mean juice Gingerroot and then take a tsp of that? And did you drink it by itself? Awful powerful, I think that would be. I think I'll disguise it in something. I have been trying only spring water for the past month as recommended by Northern Joe and it has helped somewhat. At least I'm not as bad as I was.

Yep gingeroot.  I manage it fine now, but at first when my throat was really burning and inflamed I put it in cucumber juice.  I have read Joe's thread about the water and agree entirely.  Tap water always made me feel bad.  I see you have hiatus hernia listed.  This ginger thing is an old remedy for that, so might just do the trick.  Good luck if you are going to give it a try.  Let me know how you get on if you do.
