Chaining the meds ...

So, I am back experimenting with the PPIs again ...

I know I can not take prilosec, nexium or protonix .. more side effects and are much more pronounced (insomnia, depression, dizziness, lightheadedness, muscle aches, fatigue).

Aciphex and Prevacid on the other hand are not that bad .. but do start to give muscle twitches, aches in a few days. Motrin seems to help a bit .. so I was wondering if I should use some motrin to combat these side effects. I know NSAID could be bad for GERD/LPR, but in my case the problem is more neuorgenic and not as much the diet/les-pressure and other such "typical" causes.

Ibuprofen is very hard on the gastrointestinal tract.

I have been on Dexilant (dexlansoprazole) for almost a week now and it's the first relief I've had in months of taking different PPIs. Thus far I've tolerated it very well.
