bile reflux need advice

so after fundo and every test in the world i just had a new endo and my stomach was covered in bright green material. the dr. suctioned it and said it was all bile told me to take 40 ml of carafate spread out each day. so eat every 2 hours, take pills and manage that. what. he says this will stop my water brash the symptom i hate the worst my question is how to i stop it from covering my stomach what im supposed to cover it or dilute it. now im not scared in angry. any advice had a worthless fundo now my stomach is a bright and shiny green..bile. what are my options surgery on the ptlorus valve remember i already has fundo i am angry beyond imagination

Hi, I'm sorry to hear you have a new problem after having your op. I think there are a few people, and Denise in particular, who can help regarding the Carafate; maybe you could catch their eye by starting a new thread asking for help with Carafate?

Did your cons suggest anything else like removing your gall bladder or at least testing your gall bladder? Would a low fat diet help reduce the production of bile?

I have not had bile reflux myself, but I'm sure other members will be along soon with their comments on it!

You're understandably cross right now, but I'm sure there will be a way forward for you,

Hi Joe.


You could try avoiding fatty foods like olive oil steaks, etc.


Try eating whole wheat bread for 2 weeks so if that helps.

Less fatty foods should result in less bile.

Sorry you are going through this Joe. I have been told to add extra fiber to help soak up some of the bile, which is what SK55 is probably suggesting with the bread. Easier to use benefiber or metamucil for me since the carbs can upset my GERD. My bile issue is from GB removal and I can't relate to your surgery but surely the same principals apply. Avoid fatty foods for sure because that will cause more bile dumping.
