Hey Mock...Are you familiar with Dr. Stuart Shipko? He is a psychiatrist who published original research about treating GERD with Xanax.

Google him when you get a chance.

thanks for the suggestion... i will check it out...

funny thing, the clinic where i go and the doctors i see all hate on benzodiazepenes like they are class one street drugs

i had tinnitus real bad several years ago (ive learned to cope since) and the only thing that kept me from doing something drastic was clonazepam ( a benzo)...which is effective at treating some seizures ( and some docs see a similarity between tinnitus and seizure activity

when my tinnitus reared its ugly head again the new docs wouldnt let me touch it ,even though 10 years ago after using it for a year i weaned myself off of it !! and was without for a decade...you would think i had proved my self a responsible patient...

right?........but no

docstors have so much power over our lives...too much

I agree MT - too much power. I had a borderline Helicobacter result a couple of years ago and then it went negative. Despite the unreliability of testing whilst taking ppis, they won't let me have a trial of Helicobacter eradication - surely it's worth a trial of one week's worth of drugs than a trial of a lifetime of ppis!!

im kinda hangin in there

had two cancer scares earlier this year

and other GIf problems

so i try to focus on the good things i got and make the best of sometimes ok, and sometimes very difficult days
