I have read several places that chewing gum after meals and before bedtime can help with acid. In particular the kind that has sodium bicarbonate in it. The only gum I have found is Orbit White peppermint and spearmint. I know we are not supposed to have mints so is the gum that is mint flavored bad too? Is it better to just chew sugarless gum with other flavors and not worry if it has bicarbonate in it?
Also, has anyone taken carafate liquid for LPR and did it help?
Thanks!
