Hi everyone, After all sorts of testing with new GI specialist, manometry and another 24 hour PH test, along with an endoscopy, I have now been told that I have gas bloat syndrome and very close to a nutcracker esophagus. My wrap is still in place.
I had nissan done 14 years ago and my symptoms over the past two years that have gotten steadily worse are dry heaves and coughing after eating. Along with a lot of stomach pain.
The new doc has put me on Norpramin 50mg a day to try to stop the spasms.
So far I am really not noticing anything different with the meds. And from everything I have been reading about gas bloat syndrome, it seems that it usually starts right after you have your surgery, not 14 years later.
I am still miserable and never know from one minute to the next when I am going to feel sick or get terrible stomach pain and/or dry heaves. This is definitely affecting my life.
Has anyone had anything like this? I know that my new doc is trying, but I am really depressed because he doesn't seem to have any real answers for me.
Linda
