Hello!
Been reading these boards for a little while now and this is my first post. Based on the similarities I am seeing, I would guess I have GERD as well. This all came on suddenly for me back in October, when I had shortness of breath and a burning sensation in my chest. my doctor sent me tot he ER to rule out a heart attack, and the ER tests came back negative, but I guess I had a "Send everyone overnight" er doc and they made me stay overnight to run the tests 3 more times (EKG and blood work), all came back negative. I then had a stress test, which came back as my heart/arteries were fine. That being said, since October, each month, this has gotten a little worse and more frequent. I was first on Prilosec, which didn't seem to be doing anything for me at all. I was then switched to Dexilant, and that seemed OK for a week, but lately the pains have been worse. I am just checking to see if it is common to get both a slight heaviness in the upper left part of the chest, under the collar bone a few inches as well as a burning "Pinching" feeling in the left side of the my left pec area. These come and go and are present whether I eat or not. It is definitely worse after I eat though and is becoming much worse at night. I have an upper endoscopy scheduled for this week which will hopefully give me some answers as well. Just curious if anyone else is getting here same kinds of pains all the time or is that is something more serious. Shortness of breathe from time to time has become a way of life as well.
Thanks in advance!
