Feeling Better While Preparing for PH Test

So, while off of Nexium and H2's for the last 1.5 weeks, preparing for second PH Monitor test and Endo. prior to making final surgery decision, I am actually feeling much better. I had one or two nights of burning, but I am sleeping much better and feel like I am getting much less reflux. Could the strong PPI's actually cause more reflux ??

I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing at this point. Regardless of of the fact that I feel better, I know from past experience that it will just be a matter of time before the roller coaster dips again. I'm getting second PH test in part because last test showed negative ( 8.9 demeester ) and one of the surgeon's I spoke with is a little hesitant without a second test and Endo.  I have had mild reflux for at least 10-12 years and notice that the flare ups have been worse and worse and medications stronger and stronger.
