I am wondering, have any of my fellow GERD sufferers lost weight by changing their diet? This is for those who HAVE NOT had surgery, because is common for you to lose weight if you had NF.
I often see ppl gaining weight on PPis
I am just comparing to those I can relate the most.
I changed my diet significantly in July 2011
I use to weigh 144 pounds 5"8 heigt, Male.
My current weight 125pds
Now I took out gluten, soy and dairy from my diet. I didnt subsistutie them for anything until a couple of weeks down the road. By then I was about 138pds. I also do not eat out at all but cook most of my meals with light things everyday.
Then I started incorporating and adapting to a new diet but went down to 125. My symptoms are under control compared to what they were in Jul 2011. Have any of you lost this amnt of weight or something close? And have your GERD symptoms improved.
Does the body stop losing at some point or does it just continue?
I actually want to gain weight, I tried protein shakes but didnt workout. I can't eat greasy cause that causes GERD.
I will say I am doing some blood work, checking for anemia, blood count to see if theres any other reason for this much weight loss. I will find out about that next week.
