Surgery? Not yet.

Refresh: Diagnosed with GERD, Barretts esophagus & medium/large hiatal hernia. Have had a upper GI, Monometry test, upper endoscopy, ct scan and last a gastric emptying test. I have been on omeprazole and Nexium which neither do much but they are some help. My problem is that i constantly vomit what i eat, sometimes a little sometimes a lot. Doc whats to make sure what is causing it before we proceed with surgery. Monometry test: lower esophagus was "loose", upper GI: showed med/large hernia, small section of stomach through diaphragm, gastric emptying: showed no problems with stomach, digestion ok. Now doc wants me to get a second opinion, if i have the surgery not knowing what is causing my regurgitation i would have pain and discomfort not being able to regurgitate, if that makes any sense. I understand what he is saying. I'm just being impatient. Doc i'm going to see is one of the best in the country( surgeon at Ohio State) in this field. Doc promises me that once i see this other doctor i'll know axectly what will happen and when. He seems certain surgery will happen but just is being very cautious, which i'm glad he's doing. Any thoughts from anyone, let me know.
