Can gerd cause arm neck and leg pain?

I have had some very unnerving symptoms for about a year and a half. Started with a weird pressure behind my eyes, sometimes it felt connected with my stomach. Saw an ENT, said it could be gerd and put me on nexium. Kinda helped but only mildly. After a few months I started feeling really faint all the time, with some nausea and dizziness. Went to the er a few times cause I was close blacking out. Said I had some pvcs and pacs but everything looked good.
I stayed on the nexium, things only got worse. Started getting serious heart palps and left arm pain, pain in my neck on the front left side. Ended up in the er one day with a sick feeling in my chest and about to blackout. All the usual tests, all good. They wanted me to be admitted, I said if they would do some testing I'd agree to stay. Did and a echo on my heart and corotids, tests were normal. Did blood work to check
thyroid and sugar, tests were normal. Did an MRI on my neck and back, found some slipped disks in both. They said they didn't think the disks were causing any problems because they weren't touching any nerves.
My gp had some blood work done and showed high cholesterol and low vitamin d levels. Took zocor and a vitamin d supplement, last blood work showed both in normal ranges. Dr thought it could be allergies, went and did testing some allergies to dogs and cats some grasses. Dr didn't think I needed any meds for allergies at all, but my gp wanted me try Allegra. Did that for awhile, started getting crazy fast heart beats that felt like I was choking in my throat. Was also taking a lot of supplements stopped em all. Changed from nexium to protonix. I have had 2 stress tests done both were fine, had a esophageal ph and monomatry study done, found acid in my throat. Gastro dr didn't think gerd would cause my symptoms.
I could exercise through most of this ordeal but in the last few months I can't hardly go for a short walk with out feeling I'm too faint and my chest hurts almost constantly. I'm getting weird cramps in my legs, mostly in my left leg on the upper thigh and hamstring. The pain in my chest does get worse with exertion like having sex or even singing along with the radio. Left arm pain, occasionally in the right arm. A lot of anxiety as well. Ativan does seem to help. Saw a heart specialist, he put me on a holter monitor and all it found was benign pvcs, gave me toperol xl. Took it for a few days but I didn't like it, made me even more sluggish than I already am.
Had a Endoscope done found some healing esophagitis and gastritis , took a byopsy, haven't heard if it was positive or not yet. Was in er again, had the pain in my chest and in my arm and neck all at the same time. Bp was good, er dr said he didn't think it sounded cardiac related at all. I said that's great but what is it then? He said I should go to the Cleveland clinic. I did , had a consult with a cardiologist, he doesn't suspect any underlying heart disease. We'll see I guess. I'm really frustrated, the more meds I take the worse I feel. If I stop the ppis I get terrible heartburn. Using antacids as needed, some relief there. Just wondered if any one has had these cardiac type symptoms from gastric issues, it's hard not to freak out when it feels like your having heart troubles. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been dealing with acid reflux for about 8 years. I have been to the ER on numerous occasions thinking I was having a heart attack and all test were normal. I have all of the symptoms that you have described. Everything from heat & pressure in my ears, pain in the front of my neck, pain in my back, chest, & back of neck like someone has beat me. I've had feelings of blacking out, fatigue, nausea, pain in arms, legs,and headaches. My reflux also causes anxiety attacks. I am currently taking Dexilant 60 mg and it works pretty good until I eat somthing that causes a bad flare up. For a quick fix I also take Pepcid AC Max Strength OTC. Right now, I'm in the middle of a really bad flare up so I will take the Dexilant in the morning before I eat and two Prilosec OTC before dinner. In between these two medications, I take a pill (1 pill every other day for two weeks) made from orange extract that I purchase at my local Earth Fare market. I have also been diagnosed with esophagitis and gastritis and I take Carafate for that. Hope this helps!

Hi Dozer, Did you ever figure out what you have? Your symptoms sound very close to mine and I was recently diagnosed with possible Lyme Disease. Could be related.
