Sore Throat / Weaning off Medication

I am currently trying to wean off zantac. My question is regarding acid rebound sore throat. How many months after I quit zantac, will my acid rebound stop.

My history - Diagnosed in January. Was on prevacid for few months. Physician and GI think I should stop medication completely. No major symptoms. But have mild sore throat, occasional chest pain.

I tried to ween off of medication and I also got a sore throat. It wasn't severe but I did notice. Rebound I heard can last from a few weeks to a few months. You may have an easier time as you only report mild symptoms. Good luck! I weened down to 20 mg of protonix but am back on meds until I heal.
