Hi
I recently went to the docs with the feeling of something stuck in my throat, pain and pressure in my right ear and a kind of 'full' feeling on the right side of my neck. He put me on lansoprazole which helped for a few days but now the feelings r all back. Not only is it driving me insane but I'm worried sick!
Can anyone relate or tell me if this actually sounds like reflux?

Lansoprazole is for reduicing the acid production.
Feeling of something stuck in throat could be because of acid coming up to upper sprinter and making it swollen. Haven't heard of pressure in right ear.
Sleep on left side. Even while sitting, try to lean to left side.

ENT docs are the right type of docs for ear and throat.

Yeah I have an ENT appt next month. Just worrying! I also get an annoying tickle/scratch in my throat (more in the evening) its so annoying!

Get you some prilocet over the counter see if it helps.

Thanks for the info. I'm seeing the gp Monday so will c what he thinks too. I just think it seems odd that acid reflux would cause ear pain.

If it gets in your eustashuna (sp?) tubes it will hurt.

The weird thing is I never get heartburn, never feel acid leaking up etc. Sometimes feel like a cold liquid is rising up to the back of my throat but it doesn't burn hot. I had my second baby 9 weeks ago and suffered heartburn whilst pregnant so maybe that triggered it? My sister has been diagnosed with a hiatus hernia. Does this type of thing run in families?

I don't know. I didn't feel my Gerd either, I just coughed and felt things in my throat. I'd get dizzy and almost blackout.

Well fingers crossed that's all it is. Do u still suffer? If so, how long has it been an issue? It's driving me maaaaaaad! It seems better tonight but I know it'll be back soon

I'm so much better since my surgery 2 1/2 years ago.
I suffered about ten years before I bit the bullet and had the surgery. I wish I had the surgery way before it got so bad for me. It turned out it damaged my epiglotis. I now have to be extra careful eating and drinking or food will get in my lungs.

My god, I can't believe the things it causes! I never realised until recently how serious it could be
