Hiatal Hernia surgery costs in usa ?

I have hiatal hernia 2 cm since 4 years and im on lansoprazole 30 mg with nexuim 40 or omeprazole 40 sometims , form time to time i feel bad reflux with heartburn that i cant controlled with ppi .

I think of nissen surgery to have it in good hospital in usa , does anyone know the approximate costs for surgey to correct a hiatal hernia?

Note: i dont have insurance .

I will come from Saudi arabia to have the surgery and i dont have more info about the best hospital and suregon in usa .

I need advice please

Also...I do know someone who had her surgery at Cleveland Clinic, and it was done by Dr. Rice.  She was very impressed with Dr. Rice, the staff, and the hospital.

It appropriate price for me , but how did u feel now after your surgery ?

My hiatal hernia just 2 cm , alot of doctor say dont have surgery and just be on ppi , but i feel ppi not enough . I am not convinced, in their opinion I've been looking for treatment in America because we do not have good doctors to do this surgery here .

Silent World: I can recommend a very good Thoracic Surgeon in central Florida (USA) He practices at Celebrations Hospital in Orlando. You can 'google' it...

Dr. Farid Gharagozloo is head of the Thoracic Surgery department there at Celebrations. He did my surgery in Tucson Arizona, before relocating to Florida.

The only draw-back is my surgery was very expensive; around $44,000. By the time all the insurance payments were worked out, it was about $11,000. I am thinking you could contact this Dr. and maybe he could recommend someone on your continent, which would cost a whole lot less. He has professional ties all over the US, and I think in other countries as well. He is widely published, well-regarded by his peers and very skillful. He's got my vote!
