 Hi

 I had my surgery Tuesday 11th. Nissen , plus a 7 cm HERNIA. My only problem is no bowel movement since Monday. I know I am bloated, plus terrible pain in left side rib cage,, Any sugestions??  I take stool softeners 2 times a day with the pain meds. Of course everthing is liquid, I am from Ky. my  Dr was Dr. Scott Roth, he was great.  I will call the Dr. tomorrow but thought I might   find some relief  on here,  Thank you in advance , Shirley

Good Morning

I am 4 weeks post colon surgery and I was started on Senna post-op. I still do not see a regular pattern but I find that Senna helps prevent the bloating.  The active ingredient in all Senna Tabs Vegetable Laxatives is purified senna. Also be careful with your diet and go slowly.

Do talk with your Dr. and see what he suggests.

Drinking mineral oil and water will grease you up inside and help you out.
