Sunbeam48, I hope they can understand the good points you have made. One danger is that this is written by one who has not suffered longterm problems with GERD. Or Barretts.
Your second point is particularly poignant for me. I had endoscopy one year after I had first got reflux problems, and I came out with a visual Barretts diagnosis, later confirmed by biopsy. So I assume I must have had silent reflux for a while before... or did I?
Perhaps Barretts occurs, in some people, with a genetic susceptability to it, very quickly?
